Why Choose Us?

Letitia M. Williams, DDS

Dr. Letitia Williams earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University in Washington, DC. Before attending dental school, she studied zoology at Howard University as an undergraduate. In addition, she has obtained a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree, both from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. As a dentist, Dr. Williams’s goal is to promote dental health and to provide high-quality service to a diverse population. She finds it to be nothing short of a privilege to serve people who travel from near and far to Bullock County. It brings her great joy to impact her patients’ quality of life for the better.

Dr. Williams has been happy to practice dentistry in the lovely environs of Union Springs for nearly 30 years. While she is very experienced, she remains committed to continuing her dental education several times every year. Dr. Williams is a member of both the American Dental Association and the National Dental Association. She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa – the nation’s oldest and most widely known academic honor society.

Dr. Williams has been married for over thirty years to her husband, Tom. She is the mother of Geneva, the mother-in-law of Justin, and the grandmother of Sophie. In her spare time, Dr. Williams is an avid NY Times crossword puzzler. She is also the Presiding Elder of the Tuskegee District of the NE Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she is known as “The Reverend Doctor Letitia Williams-Watford.”

I invite any and all to come experience “the difference” that caring can make.

Meet Our Team

Thelma – Chairside Dental Assistant, Registered Dental Hygienist
Thelma is a graduate of the Chairside Dental Assistant and Secretarial Management program at the North Pacific Dental College in Portland, Oregon, as well as graduating as a Registered Dental Hygienist from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She has been part of our team for six years and is dedicated to delivering the best possible dental care, whether it is hygiene or restorative, as directed by Dr. Letitia M. Williams. She loves all aspects of dentistry, especially taking time to educate patients about dentistry and their treatment. For Thelma, the best part of our practice is the way Dr. Letitia M. Williams practices and relates and delivers general family dentistry to her patients. She relates to her patients on their level and is committed to improving her dental community.

Thelma is a Native American, born and reared in Alaska. She has been married to her husband, Ronald Smith, for 36 years. They have four daughters and four grandchildren. Thelma’s hobbies include sewing, crocheting, and decorating.

Geneva – Patient Relations
A member of our practice since her teen years, Geneva holds a bachelor’s degree in English and has also dabbled in some graduate studies. She truly enjoys interacting with our patients. As we have a broad patient base, Geneva is delighted when everyone feels equally at home and comfortable in our office. She loves everyone who works in our practice and the relationships they have built. She believes that the genuine relationships and love for dentistry shared by our team radiates and adds to our patients’ comfort. Geneva is a true team player, always looking for ways to improve her work. She takes pleasure in sharing with our patients about dental health and assisting them in improving their smiles. She cannot wait to share all that we have to offer with anyone looking for a great dental experience in an office where we pride ourselves on caring for the needs of our patients. Whatever you are looking to achieve, we are here to meet your needs. We are a family…literally! Dr. Letitia M. Williams is Geneva’s favorite dentist…and her mom!

Geneva has been married to her compassionate darling of a husband for six years. They share a very happy – albeit sometimes rambunctious – 2.5-year-old daughter. Geneva is a sucker for crafting and preparing exotic multicultural cuisine. Her family has set a goal to visit all of the national parks over their lifetime, so road tripping and communing with the great outdoors round out her top three hobbies. She especially loves the hobby of “life and living!”
